This weeks P.O.W goes to Rob for his prediction of Stoke 1 - West Brom 0. Bob claimed all 5 points, while Vinny, Martin, Psycho, and Steven claimed 2 points and Lucas earned himself 1 point (well done him).
While it may not even be Christmas yet, the seasons first six pointer was held at the weekend when the Potters met West Brom. With the Premiership table even more uncomfortably close than the same difference siblings, a loss for either side would put the other one out of reach, and sure enough Sidibe's 84th minute goal has taken Stoke up to 14th while West Brom are now at the bottom of the table. In spite of being 20th out of 20, Tony Mowbray does deserve some credit for sticking to his guns and trying to play their way out of trouble rather than kick and stomp the opposition. In a perfect world playing nice football would be enough to survive but then in a perfect world it wouldn't sting when i pee. The fact is if West Brom are to survive they need to add some much needed steel to their fanciness. Stoke on the other hand find themselves just short of half way to the magic 40 points that usually means safety. The only worrying thing is there are so many sides that could get dragged into the relegation battle that 40 points might not be enough this season.
Bob continues his resurgence with his first ever P.O.W win. Last month last years runner up was bottom of the table without a single win, but its amazing what a win can do for you and since Bob won week nine he has gone from strength to strength, climbing to 3rd in the table. This week he not only won and earned his first P.O.W, he was also the only member of the Predicta League to score a 5 pointer.
Kudos to you Bob, Kudos.
